Last Will and Testament of Henry Toney of Tewkesbury. Yeoman.

In the name of God amen I, Henry Toney of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, yeoman, being sick in body but of perfect memory, blessed me God, do make and order my last will and testament in manner and form following. Imprimis, I bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty god, my creator and maker, and my body to be buried in decent manner as my executor shall think fit. Item, I give unto Thomas Hale junior and Richard Berrow, both of Tewkesbury, the sum of twenty pounds for the use and benefit of my daughter ------ Smith, wife of John Smith. I give to my son in law, John Smith, twenty shillings. Item, I give unto my daughter Smith, her two children, Henry and Elizabeth, ten pounds apiece. Item, I give unto my son William Tony, twenty shillings and to his children Henry, Samuel, Elizabeth and Francis, twenty shillings apiece. Item, I give unto my son John Tony, five pounds. Item, I give to my old servant Anne Saul, five shillings. Item, I give to my servant Anne Hyde, half a crown. Item, I give to the poor of this town ten shillings. All the rest of my goods, moveable and unmoveable, and all the debts due unto me, by -------- or without ------------------- , I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Tony, whom I make my sole executrix. And I give unto Thomas Hale junior and Richard Berrow, ten shillings apiece, whom I entreat and appoint ot be my overseers of this my last will and teatament. In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand anf seal, the seventeenth day of May 1644.
