Last Will and Testament of Isaac Charlwood of Tewkesbury. Innkeeper.

In the name of God amen I, Isaac Charlwood of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, Innkeeper, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and undestanding, thanks be to god for the same, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner following. That is to say, first, it is my will that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses shall be fully paid and satisfied by my executor and executrix hereinafter named, from and out of my personal estate and effects by me given and bequeathed. I give and devise all that my messuage or dwelling house with the garden, outbuildings and appurtenanced thereunto belonging, situate in Hughes Alley in the Barton Street in Tewkesbury aforesaid and now in the occupation of Joseph Okell, and also all that my ------ dwelling house with its appurtenances, situate in Thomas's Alley in the Barton Street in Tewkesbury and now in the occupation of [----] Turk, widow, unto my wife Honor Charlwood, her heirs and assigns for ever. I give and bequeath unto my said wife, Honor Charlwood, all and singular my household goods, books, plate, silver, china, furniture, utensils whatsoever in and belonging to my dwelling house to and for her own use and benefit. I give and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal and effects of whatsoever nature or kind soever (whether consisting of two hundred pounds long annuities in the public funds or any other sum or sums which may be standing therein at the time of my decease), stock in trade, ready money or securities for money which shall remain after payment of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses unto my said wife, Honor Charlwood, her executors, administrators, assigns, to and for her and their own use and benefi. And lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my brother in law, Joseph Tovey of Tewkesbury aforesaid, gentleman, and my said wife Honor Charlwood, executor and executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I, the said testaor, Isaac Charlwood have to this, my Last Will and Testament, put my hand and seal this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven---- Isaac Charlwood

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Isaac Charlwood, testator, as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses--
