I, John Cole of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, tailor, do make this my last will and testament in -------- following ( that is to say ) First, I will and desire that my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and discharged by my executrix hereinafer named, also I give and devise to Ann Cole my beloved wife, my messuage or tenement with the appurtenances wherein I now live and also my two tenements adjoining, in the tenure or occupation of John Kingdom and William Collett and likewise my messuage or tenement situate near the Tolsey in Tewkesbury aforesaid, in the occupation of my son in law Omwell Lloyd to hold all and singular my said four several messuages or tenements with all and singular their appurtenances to Ann my beloved wife her heirs and assigns for ever, the rest, residue and remainder of my goods, chattels or securities for money and personal estate of every sort and kind whatsoever, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, her executors and administrators and to her and their disposing of for ever and I do constitute and appoint my said wife sole executrix of this my will revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made do allow and ------ this only. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of December in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five.
