In the name of God amen I John Dobyns of Tewkesbury in the County of Gloucester, Gent,
being very infirm in body but of perfect sense and memory, thanks be to Almighty God for the same,
do make this my last will and testament in manner following. That is to say, ---- I commend my
soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping to be saved by the Death, Merits and Passion of my
blessed Saviour and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. And as for my worldly Estate and goods wherewithall God hath
blessed with I dispose of the same as followeth. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Grandaughter, Sarah
Frizer and the heirs of her body, all that my Messuage or Farms commonly called or known by the
name of Asham wood and Combes croft together with all Lands, meadows and pastures thereunto belonging, situate
lying and being within the Hamlett or Township of Ashton Underhill in the parish of Bretford in the County of
Gloucester and which I bought and purchased of William Dobyns Esq., and for want of heirs of her body of my
said Grandaughter, Sarah Fryzer I give devize and bequeath the said Messuage or Farm called Asham wood and
Combes croft with its appurtenances unto my daughter Sarah Barnes, wife of John Barnes of Tewkesbury in the
County of Gloucester, Gent. and her heirs and Assigns for ever. Item. I give and bequeath unto my kinsman
Theophilus Holland the younger the sum of five pounds of lawful money. Item. I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Mary Hollands the sum of Three pounds which said legacies I desire to be paid within six months after my decease. Item. I give
and bequeath unto my son in law the said John Barnes, all my Leaseland which I heretofore bought of Charles Grizley,
Gent. and which I now hold of the Bishop of Hereford for three ---- and are lying and being in the parish of Hampton
Bishop in the said County of Hereford. Item. I give unto the said John Barnes and his assigns my Leaselands which I now hold of Merton College in Oxford and which I heretofore bought of John Alye, ----- and are situate, lying and being on Walton
Cardiff in the parish of Tewkesbury aforesaid, And also I give all other my leases goods and chattells whatsoever unto
the said John Barnes whom I make my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament desiring him to see
all my just debts satisfied and paid, And I hereby revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made. Item. I order my
Executor, John Barnes to satisfy and pay unto the said Executor or Administrator of William Hughes late of the City of
Worcester, Brewer, deceased, the sum of Three pounds and ten Shillings which is for a Watch which I had of him. In witness of which I have hereunto put my name and seal this one and Twentieth day of November in the third year of the reign
of our Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary, by the grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, King and
