Last Will and Testament of John Fluck of Tewkesbury.

In the name of God amen, the xxiijth day of the month of December in the year of or lord god a thousand five hundred fifty and eight I, John Flucke of Tewkesbury in the diocese of Gloucester, being sick in body, nevertheless of good and perfect remembrance, thanks be to god, do make and ordain this, my testament herein containing my last will in manner and form following. First and chiefly I bequeath my soul in to the hands of almighty god, my maker, saviour and redeemer and to our blessed lady, Saint Mary the Virgin, and to all the holy company in heaven, my body to be buried in the church yard of Tewkesbury aforeaid, and I give and bequeath to the reparation of the same church, my parish church, xijd, also I give and bequeath to Margaret, my wife, the bed that she brought wth her, with a coverlet, a pair of blankets, a bolster, a pair of sheets, and all her own wearing gear and iijli in money. Also I give and bequeath to William, my youngest son, a cow and xls in money. Also I give and bequeath to Edmunde Flucke, my brother, my lease of my acre of meadow which I hold of Dannyell Pert, gent, set, lying and being in Senrnehm, nigh to the key, and also my will is that the said Edmunde, my brother, shall have my gorne? the which was William Boullens, cutler, deceased, paying therefore to my children xls in money. Also I give and bequeath to John Gase ijs, all the residue of my goods cattels, debts and money of what kind or name soever they be known or called, neither geven or no bequeathed, moveable or unmoveable, my debts payed and my funeral expenses discharged and borne of the same I wholly give and bequeath to my five children, John, Thomas, William, Margaret and Anne, to be equally divided amongst them portion like, and to be delivered unto them by my executor or his assignes as they accomplish the age of xviij years, and in the meantime all the said goods, cattles, money and debts, to be put unto honest means hands by my executor to the best behoof of my same children til they accomplish the full age aforeaid, and if it happen any of my said children to die before they do accomplish the full age of xiij years as is aforesaid, then my will is that his, her or their portion or portions shall remain to the survivor and survivors of them to be equally divided amongst the portion like, and further my will is that my executor shall send my two youngest sons to school upon the charge of their legacies and the vantage of their stock, til they can write and read and cast account able to be apprentices, and my will is that my brother, Edmunde Flucke, shall have the occupancy of my house I dwell in for all the years yet to come, that he may the better breed up my said children, which children I put under the governance of the said Edmunde, my brother, whom I make and ordain my sole executor to perform this, my testament and last will, and I give unto him for his pains to be taken in that behalf, vjs viijd, and I devise my loving neighbours Richard Harley and Willm Hervey to be overseers to see this my testament performed and done, and I give to either of them for their pains to be taken in that behalf, iijs iiijd, These being witness, Robert Fysold, Rychard Harley, Willm Hervey and John Gase.
