In the name of God Amen, in the twelth day of September in the year of our Lord God one thousand five hundred ninety and three I, Richard Labinton of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, being sick in body but (God be thanked) in good and perfect memory do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First, I bequeath my soul to Almighty God, my maker, and unto his son Jesus Christ, my redeemer, who shed his most precious blood for me, whereby I firmly beleive to be saved. And my body to be buried in the church yard of Tewkesbury aforesaid. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Hue Labinton, the lease of my house I now dwell in, with all the term of years I have therein yet to come and unexpired, together with all my tools and other implements that belongeth unto the occupation shareman, with a wacke and all things thereunto belonging. Item, I give more unto my said son, one heiffer of a year old. Item, I give and bequeath unto my six daughters twenty four sheep to be equally divided amongst them, and to every one of them forty shillings apiece of lawful money of England, to be paid unto each one of them at the days of her marriage or when she shall attain unto the age of eighteen years. And if it shall happen my said son to decease before he shall be married, or before he shall accomplish the age of twenty one years, then my will is that my said lease with all the term of years unexpired, together with all his above bequeathed legacies, to remain and be unto the rest of my chyldren then living, to be equally divided amongst them at the discretion of my executor. And if it shall happen any one or more of my said daughters to die before she be married or accomplish the age of eighteen years, then my will is that her or their portions so deceased shall be, and remain unto the rest of my children living, to be equally divided amongst them by my very friends John Brafford, Thomas Dunn and Thomas Hawker. Item, all the rest of my goods not geven and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto all my children, to be equally divided amongst them at the discretion of John Brafford and Thomas Dunn whom I desire to be overseers of this my last will and testament, until my said son shall accomplish to the age of twenty one years.
