In the name of God amen, the year of our lord a thousand five hundred forty and five, the seventh day of March. Witnesseth that I, Richard Wetherley of the town of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, yeoman, being sick in body, but whole and perfect mind and remembrance, make this, my last will and testament in form and manner as hereafter followeth. First, I bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty god and my body to be buried in the church of Tewkesbury. Also I bequeath to the reparations of the said church three shillings and four pence. Also I bequeath the one half of my acre in Oldbury field unto Agnes apHowell and the other half to be sold by the hands of my overseers and the money to be given unto poor people. Also I bequeath my land in ---rhurst Walton to John Wenow. Also I bequeath my house in Upton Upon Severn unto Alice Wenow, the daughter of William Wenow. Also I bequeath to the brothers Chapottes twelve pence apiece. Also I bequeath to Richard Lepolde my orange coloured coat. Also I bequeath to Margaret Brewer my wife's third gown and her second kirtle. Also I bequeath to Thomas Skensatt my black furry gown. The residue of all my goods unbequeathed, my debts and funeral expenses discharged, I give and bequeath to Katyn Kynnard and Agnes apHowell, whom jointly I make my exexcutrixes. Also I ordain Thomas Wetherston and Thomas Farley to be my overseers for the performance of this, my last will and testament, and to have ten shillings for their pains between them.
