In the name of God Amen the thirteenth day of January Anno -- one thousand six hundred and thirty three I, Rowland Cole of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, gent, being of great years and weak in body but of good and perfect memory (I give God thanks therefore), do here make my last will and testament in manner and form. My first I recommend my soul to the hands of almighty God, my Creator and of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer by whose ------- only I expect reremission of my sins and thereby have hope of a joyfull resurrection. And for my body I commit it to the earth whereof it ----------------------- to be buried within the parish Church of Tewkesbury aforesaid. At the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named and for my worldly goods i dispose of them as followeth. Item, I give to my son ----- Cole all my books and my signet of gold. all the rest of my goods, --- and chattles (my funeral charges being defrayed) I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Ann Cole whom I do hereby make sole executrix of this my last will and testament, revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made or published . In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year first above written by me Roland Cole and subscribed, ----- and published in the presence of William Hill and William Hill jun.
