Last Will and Testament of Sylvia Ganderton of Tewkesbury. Widow.

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Sylvia Ganderton of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, widow. I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Ganderton of Worcester, carpenter, and my daughter Harriett the wife of John Price of Tewkesbury aforesaid, brazier, all such personal estate as I may die possessed of or entitled unto upon trust to convert the whole into money as soon as conveniently may be after my death in such manner as rhey may seem best, and after payment thereout of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and charges Upon trust to place the net residue of such monies upon real or Government security at interest. And one moiety of such interest I give to my daughter the said Harriett for her natural life to be by her received independently of and free from intermeddling or control of her present or any future husband and accordingly her receipt shall at all times and only be a valid and sufficient discharge for the same. And upon the decease of my said daughter Harriett, the interest of such one moiety of the net monies aforesaid shall go to and be paid thereupon unto the said John Price for his natural life. And upon the decease of the survivor of the said John Price and my said gaughter Harriett the said one moiety of the net monies aforesaid shall go to and be equally divided between all and every the child and children of her, my said daughter Harriett, if more than one share and share alike as tenants in common. And as to the other moiety of the interest of the net monies aforesaid I give the same unto my said son Richard and Anne his wife for their lives and the life of the survivor and upon the decease of such survivor, the said last mentioned moiety of the said monies aforesaid shall go to and be equally divided between and amongst all and every the child and children of my said son Richard if more than one share and share alike as tenants in common. Provided always that in case my said daaughter Harriett shall happen to depart this life without issue, then the principal of the one moiety of the net monies aforesaid hereinbefore given for the benefit of such issue shall upon the decease of the survivor of them, the said John Price and Harriett his wife go to my said son Richard upon the like trusts and for the like purposes as the other moiety of the said net monies is hereinbefore by me directed to be applied. And I hereby appoint my said son Richard and daughter Harriett joint executor and executrix of this my will, and I declare that my said daughter Harriett shall have full power to act in the execution thereof in all respects as if she were a ------ sole. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.
