Last Will and Testament of Thomas Carte of Tewkesbury.

1642

I Thomas Carte, weak in body but sound in mind, do here make my last will and testament. Imprimis, I commend my soul to God, my body to the earth and all my worldly goods and chattels I freely give and bequeath unto Jane, my wellbeloved wife, whom I make my sole executrix, and whom I trust with the education of my children, and raising such convenient portions for them within three months after my decease, as my loving brothers in law Richard Carter and John Carver shall think fit and approve. In witness my hand and seal the third day of January 1642. Thomas Carte.

Witnesses hereunto Thomas Clark, William Hill, Thomas Dobbing his mark.
