In the name of God amen, this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred fifty one I, Thomas Moore of the town of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucester, butcher, being sound and perfect in body and mnd and being by the providence of God bound at sea in a voyage for the East Indies in the good ship Roe Buck, of London, and being not certain how long I have to live or whether God may call me away before away before the voyage be expired, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First, I give my soul to Almighty God in whom I hope to be saved and my body to the earth . Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Moore, one shilling to be paid to her by my executor after my decease. The rest of my goods, be it money, goods, apparel or any other commodity belonging or appertaining unto me whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Ellinor Moore of Tewkesbury aforesaid, whom I do ordain and make my sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament. In witness of whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal upon the day and year first above written.
